I am looking for (free) sync software for Alias 2. When I used LG phones, I used BitPim and it worked quite well. The only sync solutions I have seen so far are the remosync service that you have to pay monthly for, and DataPilot. I am hoping that this is just because Alias 2 hasn't been out that long. I've googled liberally and most of what I see is along the lines of "gee this is a neat phone because you can open it landscape or portrait and the keys change accordingly" .... well duhhh .... not much real help out there or REAL tips and tricks yet
I was able to get my Alias 2 to link to my computer via Bluetooth. The phone actually appeared on my Windows Explorer list of disks. However, when I tried to open it, Windows Explorer crashed. First I need to connect, then I can worry about synchronizing. Anyone have any connection tips?
I have the USB cable to link the Alias 2 to my PC but all it does it link up the music and picture files. I am sure there has to be a way to use this link to get to the phone book or other files to access them, but I can't figure it out. Any help out there??
I just bought software to link to the Alias 2 phone book. It worked! I now have my phone book saved to my PC. It is also capable of modifying your ringtones and pics. Manufacturer is Data Pilot and is $29.95.
Samsung offers a program called "Pc Studio" for it's cell phones. I'm waiting on my USB cable to come in the mail, but you can try it out. Here's the link:
UPDATE! Alright, the software Samsung offers is actually only for GSM phones only, and will not work with the Alias 2 (CDMA Phone). However, if you do get the software, it'll let you get the drivers for it.
