I don't know if this is a phone issue or a provider issue (I have Verizon).
Here's the deal. Three times today I have received calls from "private" numbers.
Once was from a police officer I know professionally (obviously his cell phone would be private). Two were from family pranking me (I knew it was them calling).
I answered each call, but after only a second or two of a connection, the phone apparently reset, and the "Verizon Wireless" icon came up on the screen, then the phone was back to normal.
However, I have taken multiple calls today (some directly after the "dropped" calls), and had no problem whatsoever.
Is there something about private numbers that makes this happen? The phone has had no problems other than this. I checked the settings, and there seems to be no "do not allow restricted numbers" setting.
Any help anyone could give would be appreciated - I know a lot of people who don't want their numbers all over the place (including my sister-in-law and multiple people I work with) and I don't want to have to apologize for my phone "acting up" every time they try to call!
