I got my Alias 2 a little over a month ago (I know, I'm late to the party). So far I like pretty much everything about it, except for an issue I discovered today. I use the calendar function to keep my schedule on. Today, however, when I went to add an appointment, I got a message saying "Maximum entries already stored."

This is a major issue for me, as being able to use a QWERTY keyboard to store calendar appointments was one of the main reasons I got this phone.

Is anyone aware of any workarounds regarding this? I typically store 4-5 appointments per day. I notice that the manual says that you can store up to 8 appointments per day. This isn't my problem - it won't let me store appointments even on days that don't currently having any other appointments on it. Also note that I have a memory card, though I can't see any way to keep appointment data on the card (which I think would be plenty big enough to store all my appointments on.)

Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello -

I've had my Alias 2 for over 2 years and noticed this problem around the 2nd month of ownership, after putting in close to 2 months worth of calendar entries. Up to recently I would just delete the previous month's worth of entries and move forward. However, recently I seem to be unable to store more than 10 days worth of entries in a given month. It's true that I have a few entires into future months. But this still doesn't take up even half as many entries as I previously used to enter.

It's almost as though there's some type of memory leak that's eating up my calendar entries. I checked my "phone" memory and have more that 50 MB remaining out of 100 MB. So I'm not sure what else it could be.

Do the calendar entries share storage with other features, like text messages? Is there some type of limit?

I've also noticed that on a day where I did not have 8 entires, it said I was over my limit for the day. But I had previously had calendar entries for that day and deleted them. Perhaps the deletes are not getting freed up?

I called Verizon and the guy had me take my battery out and put back in. Still same problems. The next thing I may try is a hard reboot of the phone. (But I'll need to offload photos and back up address book first.) When I do this, I'll lose all of my calendar entries.

I was wondering Brody, if you have found a solution for this?

dcallender - Thanks for responding. But no, I haven't found a solution. I've just been doing the work-around of deleting last months' entries. But's it's kind of a pain and there are times when I would like to be able to go back and see what appointment I had scheduled on some previous month.

At least in my case, I don't think there's a specific problem with my phone's memory - I can still store other information (texts, pictures, etc.) even after it tells me my calendar is "full." My guess is that it is some limit programmed into the phone. I was hoping that someone knowledgeable about such stuff might be able to find a hack to bypass this limit. But so far . . . no such luck.

    Anyone?
